R W Services delivers adoptable highways, estate roads and Section 278 works across the Midlands. A practical, programme-led approach that keeps your plots, phases and handovers moving.
Typical clients: regional housebuilders, commercial developers, principal contractors and local highway authorities needing a dependable delivery partner for new roads and improvements.
Send drawings and specification for a budget cost, programme outline and buildability feedback from our highways team.
Ideal for schemes at planning, technical approval or pre-start.
Based in the Midlands and operating across the region, R W Services is set up for phased housing developments, one-off access roads and local authority-led schemes.
Highway construction is often on the project critical path. We understand the pressure of technical approvals, Section 38 / Section 278 obligations and adoption requirements. Our team plans works so you can release plots, open show homes and meet highway authority milestones without surprises on site.
R W Services acts as a delivery partner rather than a one-off contractor. We coordinate with your engineer, adoptable standards and utility strategy, sequencing works to minimise rework and disruption while keeping the programme realistic and achievable.
We are comfortable taking on both greenfield and brownfield sites, constrained live environments, and works adjacent to the existing highway network.
A complete highways package from ground up to final surfacing and adoption sign-off, tailored to your drawings, specification and local highway authority requirements.
Our process is practical and transparent. We focus on buildability, safety and maintaining access, while fitting around your wider site works and handover dates.
You send drawings, specification, approval conditions and programme drivers. We review for buildability issues, constraints and missing information before pricing.
We provide a clear cost breakdown, outline methodology and an indicative programme. We highlight any approvals, traffic management or third-party lead times that may affect start dates.
RAMS, traffic management plans, permits and utility coordination are agreed ahead of start. We align phasing with your site logistics, plot access requirements and other trades.
Works are delivered in line with approved drawings, specification and inspection regimes. We support Section 38 / 278 inspections, remedials and final surfacing to reach adoption.
A straightforward approach, clear communication and a focus on doing things correctly first time on the highway network.
We understand plot release dates, NHBC inspections and sales pressures. Highways works are sequenced so you keep access to key areas and avoid unnecessary rework or abortive surfacing.
Works are carried out in line with your specification, Series 600 / 700 requirements and local authority standards. We maintain records, testing and as-built information to support adoption.
Named contacts, regular progress updates and practical coordination with your site manager and clerk of works. Issues are raised early with options, not just problems.
If you cannot see your question below, send your drawings and we will respond with specific guidance for your scheme.
R W Services is based in the Midlands and typically works across the wider region, including schemes in the West Midlands, East Midlands and surrounding counties. For larger or longer-term projects we may travel further by agreement.
Ideally once you have outline or detailed design drawings and a good idea of approvals timescales. Early involvement allows us to flag buildability issues, traffic management constraints and sequencing options before the design is finalised, which can save time and cost later.
Yes. We regularly deliver works under Section 278 agreements for new accesses, junction improvements and highway alterations, as well as adoptable estate roads under Section 38. We understand typical local authority requirements for inspections, testing and documentation.
We plan traffic management with safety and disruption in mind, engaging approved traffic management providers where required. Method statements and traffic management plans are agreed before works start, with clear communication to your team and, where necessary, the highway authority.
As a minimum we will need general arrangement drawings, construction details, specification, any approval conditions, anticipated start date and programme constraints. If available, please also provide ground investigation reports, utility drawings and any previous correspondence with the highway authority.
R W Services works to recognised industry standards for safety, quality and environmental management. We are happy to complete your pre-qualification or principal contractor approval process.
Share your drawings, specification and target dates and we will come back with a reasoned budget, outline programme and any initial buildability comments. If helpful, we can arrange a short call or site visit to walk through the scheme.
