What Car Park Line Marking Covers

Car park line marking, also called line painting or relining, sets out how a car park works: where people park, which way traffic flows and where pedestrians walk safely. Clear, well-kept markings help you get the most spaces out of the site, keep accessible and EV bays compliant, and cut the risk of bumps and trips.

We mark new layouts from scratch and remark existing car parks where the lines have faded or the layout no longer works. We use hard-wearing thermoplastic on busy areas and paint where it’s the better value.

Car park markings we install:

  • Standard parking bays and bay numbering

  • Disabled, parent & child and EV charging bays

  • Directional arrows, give-way lines and one-way systems

  • Yellow hatching, keep-clear zones and no-parking areas

  • Pedestrian walkways and zebra-style crossings

  • Loading bays, drop-off zones and fire lanes

  • Removal of old lines before a new layout goes down

All works are completed using high-quality materials and installed in accordance with relevant highway standards, client specifications and site requirements.

Car Park Line Marking FAQs

Answers to common questions from facilities managers, landlords, retailers and developers about our car park line marking services.

Which areas do you cover for car park line marking?

We cover Birmingham and the whole of the West Midlands, including Coventry, Wolverhampton, Solihull, Walsall and Dudley, plus Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. We also work across the East Midlands, including Leicester, Nottingham and Northampton.

Can my car park stay open while you work?

In most cases, yes. We split the car park into sections and mark one area at a time, so the rest stays in use. Where needed, we can plan the work around your quieter trading hours. We’ll agree the phasing with you before we start.

How often does a car park need relining?

It depends on how busy the car park is and what the lines were marked with. Thermoplastic lasts considerably longer than paint, especially where traffic is heavy. If your lines are faded, patchy or hard to see at night, it’s time to reline. We can assess them and advise.

Should I use thermoplastic or paint?

Thermoplastic is the hard-wearing choice for busy car parks, access roads and areas with constant turning traffic. Paint costs less upfront and suits lighter-use areas or temporary layouts. Many car parks use both, and we’ll recommend the right mix for your site.

Can you change the layout or add EV and disabled bays?

Yes. We can remove old lines and mark a new layout, add or reposition accessible bays with the correct space around them, and mark EV charging, parent & child and numbered bays. If the surface needs repairing first, we can do that too.

Can you provide a quotation from drawings?

Yes. Send us a layout drawing, a site plan or photos with rough measurements and we’ll price from those. For larger or more complex sites, we’ll arrange a site visit before confirming the quotation.

Need Your Car Park Relined or Remarked?

From retail parks and supermarkets to distribution centres, hospitals and offices, we deliver durable car park line marking, line painting and relining across the West and East Midlands. Send us a site plan or photos and we’ll come back with a clear quotation.
